THE STEADY HAND EXPERIENCE
You’re a loving and responsible pet owner.
You’ve even managed to teach your dog some basic commands and he’s such a good dog until…
He’s pulling your arm off on a leash
He’s barking non-stop and driving you crazy
He jumps all over everyone that comes to your home
He’s barking and lunging at other dogs
That’s where we come in.
We empower dog owners with the correct tools and techniques so they can restore the peace in their homes and deepen their bond with their four-legged companion.
Once you know how to communicate with your dog and become their pack leader you can finally have your pet be the adored member of your family you’d always dreamed they would be.
We'll help you:
Get your dog's attention and
learn to speak their language.
Without these two things you can't train effectively or functionally.
Gain your dog's respect without losing their affection. Once your dog knows you're their leader, you'll never have to ask them to do something more than once again.
Add distractions and
real-world scenarios -
so you can take your dog with you wherever you go and not worry whether they will still behave or not.
We have had Alexander train both our dogs and we are very comfortable with taking our dogs on walks, hikes, going to restaurants and public areas without being worried on how the dogs will behave around others. Most of the time when we are out we will get several comments on how well our dogs behave!

Will this work for MY dog?
Outside of physical or psychological limitations, yes. Steady Hand Dog Training takes a balanced approach to building trust, influence, and respect with your four legged best friend by communicating in their language. This allows for truly functional training.
How long does it take to work?
Every dog is different, but you can expect to see immediate results - as early as the in-home evaluation! Our Basic Obedience training program includes 6 weekly sessions that focus on both on leash and off leash influence, with a free follow up 7th check-in session.
What is your guarantee?
If you train consistently with your dog, they will behave consistently. Steady Hand Dog Training programs provide a solid foundation and all the necessary tools for success. Ultimately, long term success depends on you, the handler! The guarantee is YOU! Let’s get to work!
Is my dog too young or old?
No, dogs are habit-forming regardless of age and they learn through repetition. 4 months old or 14 years old, they learn this way.
